Carolyn was my very first lover in 1969 in San Anselmo, CA. We wrote a
poem together. One line that Carolyn wrote was: "Land ducks toiling with
tough terrain."
When I moved to NYC in 1971, we would
talk on the phone every two months. She always made me laugh. She had a
witty charming humorous bubbly voice. Once she said, I'm wearing my
shoes that like to kick!
In California a vivid visual memory is when we
had wine, cheese and bread on a sunny hill in Lagunitas, Marin
County.
A month before she died, she sent me her ebony
flute. When I learned of her passing, I recorded this piece on her
flute. I learned from Carolyn how to be cheerful in the face of
adversity. I remember after one her major surgeries, she gleefully told
me the about the robotic-surgery machine with 7 arms. - Whow - that is
so Carolyn !
